Washington Academy’s Curriculum: A Content-Rich Foundation for Lifelong Learning

A Solid Curriculum Grounded in Excellence

Washington Academy is proud to offer a curriculum designed to provide students with a solid foundation in essential academic skills, enriched by a focus on the humanities and sciences. Central to this approach is a classical  curriculum, a tried-and-true method built over decades. This curriculum offers a balanced and comprehensive course of study, emphasizing core disciplines. We use exploration in Latin, fine arts, rhyme, memorization, great books, and physical education to reinforce learning.

A Comprehensive Approach to Core Disciplines

A classical  education is known for its robust approach to core subjects, ensuring that students acquire a strong understanding of math, science, English, and social studies. This content-rich curriculum is designed to promote critical thinking and analytical skills, providing a well-rounded educational experience from the start.

Enrichment Through the Arts and Languages

Beyond the core subjects, Washington Academy’s curriculum embraces enrichment opportunities in the fine arts and Latin, By introducing these subjects early on, students develop a broader perspective on culture and creativity. This exposure to diverse fields of study fosters a lifelong appreciation for learning and exploration.

Physical Education and Wellbeing

Physical education is another crucial aspect of Washington Academy’s curriculum. We believe that a balanced education includes physical activity and an emphasis on health and wellness. Our program incorporates a range of physical activities, promoting teamwork, discipline, and a healthy lifestyle.

A Curriculum for Lifelong Learning

By integrating a classical curriculum, Washington Academy provides a comprehensive and content-rich program that sets students on the path to academic success and personal growth. This approach ensures that our young learners develop the skills and knowledge they need while nurturing a love for learning that will last a lifetime. If you’re seeking a curriculum that combines academic excellence with a rich array of enrichment opportunities, Washington Academy’s program is the ideal choice.
